Eliot Kennedy is doing a second One Song Foundation Gig at the Sheffield O2 Academy, which will once again feature a bunch of top artists from the entertainment industry. Confirmed are Mica Paris, Liz McClarnon, Paul Pashley, Scott Anson, Philippa Hanna, Toby Foster. Recently announced Lee Ryan and Antony Costa.
This event will be in aid of SHAPA, the Sheffield Hope Academy for Performing Arts.
So, how is Eliot going to promote this event and this vision for SHAPA? As Eliot says himself “I am going to make myself homeless for a few nights, and all I am allowed to do to earn money is sing. As a busker... I was blessed with talent in my life. It has enabled me to have a career and now enables me to help others. The big question is - what if I had been blessed with talent but had no means to get to the next stage... no help, no encouragement. I have had all of the above from amazing people. Now it's my turn to help others."
The SHAPA school will offer scholarships to the underprivileged or homeless to help them realise their dreams. It will also be a regular performing arts school where people will pay to attend... but with a difference. Eliot will ask Celebrity professionals from the industry of Pop music, Musical Theatre, Dance and Opera to give master classes to attendees.
